I'm planning on wrapping the pipes on my CL175 project. Does anyone have any idea about how much I'll need? Was thinking of doing the 2" width unless there's some reason I shouldn't.
Depends on how much you decide to overlap. The more overlap, the more needed obviously... I had about a 50% overlap on my cl450 and used about 40'. On a kz440 I did before I only bought a 25' piece and had a little left over. So really it all depends on how much you overlap. I think they say you only should do about a 25% overlap if I remember correctly.
You do NOT soak the titanium wrap but you DO soak the others. You should also buy the silicone spray if you're using anything other than titanium... Also don't waste your money on the stainless steel zip ties. They are garbage. Just go out and get some stainless steel worm gear clamps and install the wrap very tightly with a clamp on each end and you'll never have issues.
Dei and other manufacturers make it. It protects and seals the wrap to extend its life and color. Look on their websites at their "kits" or just type in header wrap spray or the like on Google and you'll see.
