Plastic pipe prototyping...

Hi Folks,

I saw this in the Kindig Customs show, there wasn't a close-up nor explanation about it, but I thought it would look like this, wel that's my take on it so I drew this :

It looks like this printed ( 3 assembled here )

They have an angle of 22.5° each and can be turned on 12 different degrees, it should be enough, I'll also print strait pipes of course

What do you think ? Any mods/improvement ? I will already give each slot a number and make a template, so it will be easier to reproduce the angle

Try it without pegs and slots for infinite variability. Those are available as sets but I hear that they are really expensive. They are a great way to mock up pipe shapes though.

How do you keep them in place if you don't have a kind of lock system ?

I like the idea of guys with 3d printers being able to create their own mock up set.

Friction. The large center peg would be a tight sliding fit into the matching center hole in the next piece. Or it clips in like these-

Here's another 3d printed set. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1649639

Dang ! I'm a lot on Thingiverse and search for that before designing it myself and couldn't find anything !

Thanks, I'm gonna tinker with his design and see what's what.
