First post my apologies if there is a thread already. I have an xs750 an I wanted to do a 3-3 rather the 3-2 or 3-1. I know that the ugly moto xs750 has 3-3. I'm guessing re-jetting is a must. But what about the power band? Should I or shouldn't I. Thanks in advance
3 to 1 will likely out perform any other configuration. The basic reason is where the runners collect there is an aid in scavenging from the other cylinders pulling the exhaust gasses. This configuration tends to make the most tq.
3 to 3 would need to be equal length to keep things equal for all cylinders. This configuration could depending on the design make most hp but it sacrifices in other areas. If not done right will be worse than 3 to 1 in all aspects.
No problem. On an xs750 either way won't make a tonne of difference unless you make major effort to lighten the bike and upgrade other elements. So with that I would go with what you want for looks over function. I had mine with k&n pods, 3 to 1 Kerker, dyna coils, taylor wires, iridium plugs and minority lightened.
It made a notable difference but that bike really signs off early power band wise.
