I got a Coin card. Well... pre-ordered one, anyway.

I've got an old leather coin purse a vet gave me. That thing you got doesn't look like it will hold much change.

I just took delivery of a new engine for my MGB/GT. This is a 9.5:1 motor (stock is 8:1) which will get my old ported cylinder head and my HIF4 carbs. It may eventually get some 36mm Mikunis instead, we'll see.

My condolences. :'(

I used to have that disease, and still have occasional flashbacks. ??? ;D

I wondered about that. I have a non-contact thermometer as well. This one worked the first time. I start with the valves closed and slowly open them so the needle doesn't go crazy. Vacuum-wise, the carbs don't pull more than the gauge is rated for.

My birthday is in 4 days, so I decided to treat myself to a new(er) bike.

She is SWEET!

2007 SV650 6,800 miles

Great bikes!!! My brothers first was a 650 and my brother in law just sold his 1000. I personally loved how a person doesn't have to rev them out to 8k+ to go anywhere. The 1000 pulled like a train.

I been looking for a match to my front tire and got this VRM163
it should be an improvement over the vrm021 that I have worn out in 2000 miles
the first pic s the 021
also a bonus is it is relatively light at just under 10lbs and the round profile should give better lent-over edge grip something I never liked with the 021 it were squirrely
also got some high quality shock oil fer some shock werk 12 dollars shipped fer 2 bottles is a helluva deal

I need to get me some of that Showa 5W. My fork builder put in 20W and I've got no rebound. Hoping the 5W will make my forks go boing.

Like the Vee's? I've been looking at the Shinko 705 for my XL. It has a similar tread pattern and the price point is nearly identical.

i like the VRM163 on the front 90/100-19 and it doesn't look it in the pics but there is more, smaller blocks than on the 705
i got that 4.10 18 VRM163 for 69.99 shipped and it wieghs 9lb -13oz
the roads i ride on are chipsealed so it is like riding on a really course open grit sandpaper
just shreds tires :'(
the 163 seems to have pretty hard rubber which so far with the front has shown good wear rate
and has not pushed yet in a turn 'cept on moss or gravel
i had a shinko 705 120 on the back but it wore pretty quick,my edges wore out like a motherfucker and was too big fuckin thing weighed over 13lbs !
i upgraded hoops to 1.85 front 2.15 rear as well and i am running tubliss fr-back 8)
