what a deal

Nice, but OOG, a lot of work.

I picked up a 1975 CB750F with a full Rickman fairing on it just like that one, and an ATP turbo kit bolted on. I paid $550 for it delivered to my door, and it had been stored inside. Sold the turbo kit on eBay for $1450. All the original paint was in excellent condition too.

The profit from that bike paid for my wife's Yamaha Vino :)

Where did you find such a deal?

Just kept my eyes open. Was posted on Classic Bike Exchange without a price. I wasn't interested in it for myself, but knew lots of people who might have wanted it, so I called the guy and asked 'how much'. When he told me he would bring it to me for $550 I said SOLD!

One of those once-in-a-lifetime sort of deals. Fairing went for $200, turbo for $1450, tank and seat sold for $250 and then I sold the remaining bike for $500 (along with a bunch of spare parts I had for the CB750 from previous work that were worth $200 or so on their own). So I got about $2,400 for the bike in total.
