Random part! Please help identify!

Okay guys, so I just finished stripping down my 1980 CB750K to the bare frame (getting ready for some sandblasting) and I had been meticulously putting every part in a box for safe keeping. Well, I didn't do a good enough job and this piece (see picture below) was laying on the cardboard underneath the frame. If you recognize this part, please tell me what it is. I apologize the pictures may not be the best. Thanks!

It looks like the front of a rear brake actuator rod. But it doesn't look like an OEM part - kinda looks home made??

Hillsy, thank you! I'll look more into that. Today I was taking the rear wheel and brake off. So maybe it is that part. As far as home made, who knows, I'm starting to be not surprised by anything I find as I have no idea what the previous owner did to it.
