RD Clutch Plate Question

hey guys!

i just my new clutch plates in my mail for my RD.

do i need to put them in the gear oil for a day or two before i reassemble the clutch or do you guys just built them in dry?

what about these rubber rings which are put in between the steel plates and clutch pads?do you use them,i read that some poeple remove them for whatever reason.

Soak them, the clutch is a wet clutch and you don't want to put it in dry. The rubber rings are a dampner. They keep the plates from chattering.
