Rd250 First Build

2stroker

1974 Rd 250
Hey guys this is my intro to my rd250 build. Being 18 now this is the first build im attempting and it will defiantly not be my last. I found this on philly craigslist for 1200$ and i was all over it. Its a 74 all stock 250. It was owned by a lady in coopersburg and it got dropped once and she sold it to the mechanic she gave it to. It basically sat for about 15 years or so in a garage. it wasnt abused but it was left to sit. :( SO i than bought it. i of course wanted to make my own seat but keep it as original as possible so here is as far as i got so far

Nice bike, seems like a real lucky find. Should be a fun project. Nothing beats the smell of premix that's for sure, you plan on running castor or 'bean' oil?

me being all artsy because i am a instagram twitter facebook child haha

Very nice find man and really clean looking bike ! Only thing i would say is only add parts that are bolt on so if you ever want to take it back to stock you can !

got a break and the original seat on for the final riding season days. and my inspiration aka friend with a kawi 750 frankenracer

a nice thing about my seat is that its just two pins holding it into place so i can change them out when ever i would like to.
