Why did you drill the hole? You just pull the old one out and press a slightly larger one in. A drill doesn't make a round hole, especially when you're not drilling completely through material.

You can also spread the end of the brass tubing to give it a tighter fit.

The soldered one hasnt leaked a drop since sunday. I think It may have had some gunk in the drain screw seat.
So now the solder seems to be holding fast along w the drain screw.

Oh, that's great. All this talk and searching made it look like it was leaking again and you had to find another fix.

The first one had the tube rotted off where it met the aluminum. So I had to drill it out. Plus the new brass tube was larger diameter.

Nope I "thought" I needed another fix. But shes holding. And the shrink tube conversation simply continued.

Just an FYI, 79 - 82 CB750 is the same float bowl but with a pump. There might be a swap. Or maybe just plug the pump.

if you need a spare or ten

its the same as a cx500 gl500 gl650 cx650 carb bowl

and i know someone that has mounds of those as they take them off bikes

and put mikunis on

Started getting a stubborn sticky float valve, used the dremel buffer and toothpaste to polish the seat. Fixed.

Also, after logging some miles on her chasing Rachel around town. And already having carbs off.

I re-checked compression. Shes good to go. 8)
