rear light stays on but blinkers die after a few seconds

I've been redoing a lot of stuff on the bike lately and I am finally back to rewiring everything. I had the blinkers working and then I got the headlight bucket back from the shop and disconnected everything and put it back and now my blinkers are dying after a few seconds. The weird part is when I turn the key further the brake light stays on and is a decent brightness but it's like blinkers arent getting enough juice. I also replaced the flasher module thinking maybe that would help. Could this be a regulator problem? I've heard the thing humming and getting warm.

Thanks in advance!

Oh another fun fact is I also replaced the starter because I was thinking this would have fixed the electric starter system but even after a new starter motor nothing happens. No sound or anything. This was even when the bike was up and running. The trickle charger has been on this bike for a few months keeping it charged. When I turn the key on the trickle turns to the red light at charging.

Leave the bike off the charger for 24 hours and then read the voltage across the battery terminals. Please report back with your findings.

Looks like maybe the battery crapped out. New one fixed the lights. Now I've got to figure out why the starter button isn't working.
