rear suspension for 1978 gs550

hey all y'all...

what rear shock length would you recommend for 1978 gs550? I'm considering the mdi/emgo shocks. I realize they're pretty stiff but I'm on a budget and I weigh in at 250+. I wouldn't mind raising the rear up a tiny bit. They have shocks in 335mm or 365mm...

For the Emgo ones you need the 335 eye/eye setup which is the closest to stock. The 365 would be roughly 3/4" higher then stock.
