Relocating Twinstar Coil

Is there any reason not to relocate the coil to the downtube if I make a little rock/rain shield for it? I can't think of any issues and the plug wires still reach the plugs.

It won't fit in to stock location with the new tank.

should be fine but make sure if it grounds by the mount it still will or run a ground wire to the mount bolts.
 
I have an oil cooler and a reg rec on my 81 Bonnie in the same place and have had no problems with them being there
