Removal of rear cushion upper case and reinstall of spring?

Please see picture from manual below.

I am going to remove the Rear cushion upper case (see No. 5 in diagram). After I remove the upper case, does the Spring Seat Stopper (see No. 4 in diagram) have to be reinstalled? Can it be reinstalled?

Looks to me like you need #4 so #6 stays in place. You should be able to just remove #5, but you will have to check if #4 and #6 fit into each other securely, otherwise the springs might collapse while you are riding (that would be bad).
