Removing old fairing decals

hey!

do you guys have any ideas on how to remove old decals without leaving a mess on the paint?

actually im gonna repaint it...so maybe i would treat the decl with acetone and then use a hot air gun...

If you're repainting it, just carefully sand the whole deal down to bare plastic.
