Replace bearings before or after truing?

So, I'm gonna go drop my wheels off for truing and tire mounting today. I tried it myself and didn't get the results I really wanted. Since I'm considering replacing bearings as well should I wait to have them trued and rubbered up until after?

In other words, will replacing bearings mess with a wheel's true?

Thanks

No - installing new bearings will not impact the trueness of the wheel, unless you use a sledgehammer to install them :)

Fresh bearings would likely aid in truing the wheel, as the process depends on a freely rotating wheel, and balancing requires it as well.

Yea as Tim said, it won't affect it, but you should do it before. As it will easy the truing process.

Okay, thanks guys. I didn't think it would be a big deal, guys replace their bearings all the time on these forums, but no one ever really mentions anything about when they true their wheels or whatever so I was a little unsure... I'm relatively new to bikes (and spoked wheels).

Thanks for clearing that up
