Running a cb350f w/o the retainer ring

You're going to have to be more specific. :) Oil filter? Rear sprocket? Flux capacitor?

Are you talking about item #3 on the parts fiche??

Do you need help replacing it? or do you need another? I just won against one of those after trying about a week

First of all dude your quote is great. Second yes I'm talking about three on the fiche. Third, it took me about an hour of smashing after I got the retainer angrily drilled out which leads me to believe that bearing needed little to no assistance staying in one place so you can't blame me for asking if someone else had the same idea. Forth no I don't need a new one but I lost the war by butchering the threads in the hub so its either no retainer fee or new hub. Final answer?

ahum..

you dont happen to work there do you?

and yes, new hub.

Common newbie issue bud. Don't feel too bad. They're aluminum and go to sh!t easily. New ring cheap at bikebandit.com. Speaking from experience. There is a great tool from motion pro for this as well.
