Running light non-operational?

Hello,

new to the board, but something I just noticed while taking it for a spin at night around my neighborhood. The running light does not illuminate when I turn the headlight on. It has in the past, as shown by this picture;

What possibly could I have done that made this go out? When using either brake it works fine, but with headlight it does not light up.

You mean the running light in the tail light correct? It's a dual-filament bulb. Chances are the running light filament is just burnt out. Take it out and see if the filament is broken - you can test it with a multimeter if you can't see the filament well.

Well I took the rear light off...a wire came loose :-[ . Makes me feel quite silly for not thinking of that. Thanks!
