seating new fork oil seals

Well, I dunno if this is the greatest invention since sliced bread or anything, haha.

After prying out your old fork seals, you could use them to pound new seals in their place. Gently pound the new seals into the forks using a rubber mallet until they sit flush with the top of the fork. Then, take your old seal, flip it over so that the flat side faces down, line it up with the new seal's top, and start pounding evenly around the seal. This way, it's fairly easy to see if the seal is going in all screwy, coz you see the low spots above the top fork, and could pound away at that side more to get the seal to sit evenly.

Heh - yep - Child Board is a technical reference to a sub-forum.

This forum however was intended for both tips and questions. Maybe it's worth separating them into two areas - not sure. For what its worth this is a good tip, one I've used personally to drive fork seals home (at least when I haven't destroyed the originals in the removal process).
