Securing tank on cb350f

I'm about to cut up my cb350f and install a brat style seat.

Obviously the original seat aided in the securing of the tank. So now I'm wondering if the stock forward rubbers and the rear rubber are enough to hold the tank in place or do I have to add to my DCC seat pan in order to extend over the rear mount or add something else in there to be safe?

Thanks in advance.

I have a '73 CB350f. The front of the seat doesn't hold the back of the tank. It sits close to cosmetically hide the rear rubber mount. You don't have to worry about it as long as the rubber is in good condition.

r.h. is correct -- is the rear rubber mount still intact? I'm guessing you wouldn't ask the question if it were. You can find replacements for them on Ebay, but I would recommend soaking them in wintergreen oil to get them pliable again. They get stiff and crack easily.

My one is currently cracked so on the look at for a decent new one.

Has anyone used rubber from see guys ?

No, but that seems reasonable for a new non-OEM part considering used ones sell for that much.
