Seized CB750 after kick starting?

Been Around the Block
I feel as if this is impossible, but, I recently purchased a CB750.
This motor was already a pain in the butt to kick over as it was said to be a race built, high compression, motor. No way of proving it so who knows, none the less you really had to put your back into to kick this thing over.

I had gotten it to fire a couple times and finally took it out to take it for a test ride, when I go to kick start it and suddenly I get nothing.
It wouldn't kick over (maybe a kick start jam?) so I try turning it over by hand and STILL nothing.
But, like I said this thing was already super hard to kick over as it was, so who knows if I'm just not strong enough to turn it over by hand.

My worries: I really do not want to have to dig into the motor on this one, it was simply supposed to be a quick flip, and not a money pit.
What do you think guys?
I already have the carbs, pipes, tank, etc off to take off the head if need be.

Turning it by hand you mean with a wrench on the crankshaft? Or turning the kicker by hand? Pull the plugs put it in neutral and see if you can turn it with a wrench.

Wrench on the crank shaft.
Carbs, and exhaust off and it won't turn.
But like I said this thing was a chore to get to kick over, like you really had to put your back into it.

I tried putting it in gear and rolling it, then letting off the clutch lever and the rear wheel still rotated.
Not sure if that means anything, that's just what a friend suggested.

Take the plugs out and see if it rotates backwards or forwards by sticking it in a high gear and rolling the bike forwards and then "in reverse" That way you can tell if it's compression of just a dropped valve or something equally painful.

I didn't pull the plugs whenever I tested it, or try reverse.
But I did put it in high gear and the rear wheel did continue to rotate for a bit.

I want to add I've never actually driven this bike, I've only owned it a few days and heard it run a few times.

I'll try pulling the plugs and retesting the roll test as well as reverse.

Could it be that the kick start jammed up? (Although that does not dispute the issue of me being unable to turn it over by hand).
