She's dead...

Onboard toolbox is a decent idea, hey Andrew if I get confident enough to go long distances we should cruise temecula (halfway between us)

Regarding your tool kit, I threw this ammo box on my bike, full of tools, zip ties, flashlight, electrical tape, duct tape, spare light bulbs, spare fuses, etc... At first I thought it looked silly, too "slapped on" but after the 4th time I was able to repair my bike on the side of the road, I decided I'll never not have the thing on there...

I dig this, Andrew. :)

I'm reluctantly starting to look for the problem that I'm hoping is electrical.

Battery is good
Plugs look good
Fuses are all in tact

BUT there is no spark.....? Battery was hooked up and ignition on, touched the plug to the side of the engine and kicked but nothing on either side

The coils aren't leaking and I can't find and loose connections

hillsy, just went back out and took off the points cover, theres a little bit of oil in there alright. Traced it to a small leak in the head cover in the front that looks like it crawled down the side with the wind. Doesnt look like there's any touching the contact points themselves. Is there anywhere else where it would cause a problem?

That's probably OK then. They are notorious for leaking oil into the points area through the cam seal (which is often caused by a chewed up cam tunnel through oil starvation).

Back to basics - check for power at the points, coils, etc.

What the F caused that !

whats the blue on the bearing surface ?

did you drill those holes in the cam? Or was that already done by the previous owner.

And the notorious top end oiling issue rears its ugly head yet again.

That sucks man.

The blue is the computer screen in the back. Took the cylinders out and one piston is covered in burned oil/sludge. Gonna split the cases when i have a chance

oomph... been there dude... I have two 360 engines in boxes (they run better there), let me know what parts you may need and I can see if I have some spares

Thanks for the link trek!

Roc City - looks like I'm going to need everything from the jugs up :-\ Let me know what you have laying around, thanks

right now my charging troubles don't seem so bad finnigan! :-\ Sorry for the untimely death of the top end !
