Anyone check out The Horse this month? Anyone around here read The Horse?

Loudbike's featured on page 58, I just hope it doesn't go to her head. A lot of the pics are from that corset and hotpants shoot we did a while back with a few new ones in there along with my brilliant writing :)

Let me know what you think.

Spam filter killed me last time... Is this any better mr. filter?

Congrats man... i do like that bike.

In one way, i'm shocked it would be in the horse... just always struck me as an anti-asian/italian bike thing... sorta like Jockey Journal (saw what happened to ya there... not cool).

Anyway, well done.

Ahh, the memories.

Yeah, I was surprised too, I think one of the editors has a personal soft spot for cafes though. It has a lot of elements to it that make sense for the mag and there's really nothing more appropriate out there. A couple of my favorite mags, Classic Racer and Classic Motorcycle Mechanics don't really do the custom stuff.

The horse is actually a pretty good mag, from what I get they like everything except Jap V twins(Really dont like bolt on chromed out Jap V twins). Has a few articles in there now and then (Real Biker vs commuter trash) but its back yard spirit is awesome. I love the garage builds they publish and they have real good taste. They have an article online something like ARE CAFES THE NEW CHOPPER? and they have been throwing one in now and then lately. And I used there Jap chop to make my bobber frame. I actually didnt grab this issue just earlier, paged through real fast, going back to get it. Awesome job Mysta2, Loudbike was one of my insparitions to start building.

yeah congrats. ill have to try to find that mag. Loudbike was def a big inspiration for me as well. in fact it takes a lot of effort not to just copy her

WOW!.. Congrats!!..
Scan the pages and post them up!!..
I never heard of that mag let alone know where to buy one!!

Cool! your bike deserves to be in print. Your thread on TMW is what inspired me to cafe my bike. Once I get my CL450 in good riding condition, I would like to do a total tear down and rebuild of a CB360.

Don't know where you get that idea. The Horse has always been open to old school Japanese chops, bobbers and the occasional cafe. Every issue has a at least one or two. The Horse is a mag devoted to the wrench-your-own rider and doesn't discriminate against non-American brands. Conversely, there's a bit of a an anti-Harley sentiment on this board that prevents people from reading a chopper mag which is lame. Being more open-minded about other styles of bikes can only broaden your knowlege. I've been buying the Horse for years and get a lot of my inspiration from reading it. Congrats on being published, I'll pick up a copy.

Not to further derail the thread (that is a nice bike) but...

I am a little curious about the "no jap bike" policy on the jockey journal.
I'm a noob to the online bike-builder cultures here...

Not trying to start a flame fest, but I'm not anti-harley. In fact, if it were affordable by my standards, I'd probably have a old harley (pre-70's)... just no $. In fact, what i'm building is FAR from cafe... I like all styles, just commenting here.

excuse me.

It's all over the place down here, Barnes&Noble and Borders (two of our biggest book stores) always have it... but it sounds like on at least the west coast their still displaying the dec/jan issue. I'd like to post them but I don't want to step on their toes this early (they refrain on their website from posting current content, so I'd hesitate to do so)

There's not much to be curious about... you hit it on the head, that's that policy.

It's all in the second post: http://www.jockeyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=40669

Awesome work-I also was inspired by the TMW thread.
I'm on the JJ as well as the HAMB (where the JJ started) and now function more as a lurker. The last time I mentioned something in an exhaust thread, I was deleted because I 'mentioned' my 750-no notification, just found out on my own.
I usually look for threads on gravelcrew, garage company, bratstyle, Heiwa, and Matsumaru but there sites have their own galleries anyway.

You know whats funny I got hit up by Jockey Journal on TMW, to post on Jockey Journal? Maybe just spam.
