Hey guys, so ill eventually go the whole nine yards as far as cuting the frame. But i wanted see if anyone has examples of a cafe seat done on a cb/cl350 with no cutting of the frame.
I bent tis up for my CB350F out of very similar "material" to what you have
Mocked it up in cardboard then cut out the metal. Folded the 90s in brake made out of 2 hinged pieces of oak clamped to the bench top and rolled the rear over a coffee can.
First attemept at TIGing alluminum looked like crap... So I covered the hole thing with vinyl.
No frame cutting involved other than grinding off the broken hinges for the stock seat
Wow! That looks great! Heres what i so far. Mind you this is first time at this and im working with what i got laying around. Im not sure if the gas tank thing will work for a back cal but thought id cut it off and look at it.
