I tend to leave my MP3 player at home when I ride, mainly because I forget the silly thing.
And i do like to have full awareness when Ma & Pa Suburbanite are considering squashing me with their Buick Splatoliner Deluxe.
I don't listen to anything but the bike when I'm riding. However, if I did, I would love to figure out a way to listen to acoustic alternative (acousticalternative.com). There is a guy on a sportbike forum I belong to who hooked up SIRIUS radio to his bike! Incredible install! He listened through custom made ear buds... Frankly, I'd be too worried that it would distract me from the business of riding. You know that level of focus/zone, that you're in, slicing and dicing through traffic or setting up for the next series of curves? I love that! Music would just cloud my train of thought. Can't risk it...
I have XM radio on my scoot... i make and sell fork bag stereos though the shop for HD's but they have been used on everything from sport bikes to cafes... here is the u tube link to them... i have since pattented the idea and make a ton of them! Got to have tunes man!
