I don't think its that far off considereing the custom one-off work...

1979 Honda Cb 750, Custom one of a kind. Nearing completion, Hand fabricated tank, tail, and sides, lowered 4" rear and 3" front, R6 rear shocks, and handlebar controls, Dual headlights,Custom seat, custom front fender, CBR 1000 rear tail light flush mounted under tail, Avon on/off road tires.
I still have to finish wireing and cables to be complete but it is up for sale now. Bike will be 100% before buyer takes it home.
This bike is as much of a custom as any harley on the road and it has the reliability of a Honda. Come see it.

How much would a fully custom tank run on it's own?

Dan ... I still think he is way out of line on his price. Most of the stuff he has added could have been picked up cheap (ebay) and the custom tank ... lets say $1000.00 (high end of the scale) for argument sake. Its still a Honda (79 750C) at the end of the day.

Hey more power to him if he can get that kind of $$$'s

Monkey see mokey do?

And crap, it's a DOHC 750 to boot. Least he could have done is used a proper SOHC engine.
