Spring meet and greet

Looks like you guys & gals had a good time. 8)

I'm sure more of us would have liked to have been there. The timing was not great for eveyone to be there.
I myself had to get ready for a Mothers Day BBQ.

Last years event was near the end of May, and brought out more of the DTT crew.

Remember this meeting before we all rode out?

It seems to me that an intolerant attitude is creeping into our midst. One of the things that we as 'bikers' battle with every day it the misunderstanding and intolerance that exists between the 'world' and us. They don't get it. How many times have you been asked, "why would you risk 'life and limb' on a bike?" The last thing 'we' need to do is splinter into even smaller groups because we can't 'get along'!

Hey, I've been around long enough to know that anytime you get 3 people together you're gonna get at least 4 opinions... We're NOT going to agree on EVERYTHING, that's a certainty. I would just like to see less trash tossed back and forth concerning those who think differently! If some want to join a 'formal' club, pay dues, have a board, etc... I say GO FOR IT. The rest of us don't have to join. BUT, we don't have to trash each other for not agreeing either. We can agree to disagree, can't we?

You can call me a poser for showing up at a Meet and Greet if you want, but I think you miss out by not sharing your passion with others. This world can be a lonely enough place without alienating ourselves from those we should be hangin' with.

Any how... this is a cool forum with cool people posting some funny, helpful and informative stuff! Let's work at keeping it that way!

Drew :-*

Well put Drewski!

And speaking of posers, I would be one of the bigger ones. I am a true proud owner of a vintage 2003 R6 =) but I love hanging out with the 'vintage bike owners' more than the other groups. I just prefer not having to worry about breaking down and always fixing my other older bike!

As for me not showing up.....30 yr old bike. I get it started, I think the bike is good to go, another f--king problem comes up! It's getting disheartening. But we wrench on until all the gremlins are gone.

Hey everyone!!

I love the fun, humor and kidding that flies back and forth on DTT!! I don't take myself very seriously, so I'd ask you not to take me too seriously either!! I just wanna hang with ALL you people as OFTEN as I can!! I want some of YOU to rub off on ME!

I love reading about your builds and the creative ways you overcome problems!! You inspire me!! The vision you have is amazing and I admire the different 'pictures' you see on the the same blank 'canvas'!

So.....

Timmies on Thursday night anyone??? ;) ;D ;D

Thursday sounds good to me!! ;D

I thought it was great to meet a couple of other members of the group, well, except Dr. J because he doesn't want to belong to a group ;), not that it wasn't great to meet him too ;D.
As far as "Posers" go, can anyone here deny they've looked in the shop windows to see their reflection to see how they look on their bikes? ::)
I don't have a Cafe' bike yet, some day I will, but with all my other responsibilities it's just not do-able right now :'(. Heck, I'm not even racing this year :'( :'( >:(.
So that's why I showed up on my Bandit, plus I wanted to try the new touring bar setup and it worked great. I also met Vlad and his wife and saw the add on seat he got for his wife to make riding more comfortable. We exchanged ideas on some other stuff too, which to me is what these get togethers generate.
But it sure was a ch-ch-chilly ride home. I ended up pulling over and putting on my rain suit just to cut down on the wind, boy was I glad to pull into my driveway that night.
When the weather improves I'd like to make it down to one of the Timmies socials, but it definitely has to be WARMER on the ride home! :o

Guys...don't take Poser the wrong way....It's aimed Squarely at Loco Leon.....I'm just breakin balls cause I can't be there...and am jealous of that fact....wish i coulda hit one last timmies meet

I still have a gremlin inside my bike.......I am praying to the two wheel gods that I can ride Thursday meet...LOL. I hope to see you there Dr.J...& that's not a lie!!!
