We hope to be exhibiting our new TR1 Cafe Racer "Vidicator" at the October Classic Bike show in Stafford.

As soon as it's finalised - stand #'s etc. I'll let you know. Be nice to put some faces to the handles.

Hi Beach.....not sure just yet, but Tim and I,may well make the trip. It's a great show, and we went last year....trouble is, it's a bout a 500 mile round trip from where we live !

Ouch ...................

yea and in October, more than a fair chance of rain !!

I've been to the show for the past 10 years or so and noticed a gradual shift of emphasis from restored [ over restored ! ] bikes to Cafe Racer style.

We've actually booked the stand now - just need to get the bike completed !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh yes, and there's a chance that our reverse Y Trike might make it - road trials next week.

Hi all, new to the site, but I'll pop in and say hi at stafford, only 25 mile round trip for me. I go most years and had hoped to have a stand there this year with another forum I go on, but we missed out. we did have a stand at VJMC show at uttoxeter this year and really enjoyed it. see you at stafford.

Just an update guys.

Time has overtaken us and due to various supply problems completely out of our hands the Vindicator TR1 Cafe Racer will not be completed in time for the show.

However, because of the delays in supply of parts for the TR1, we have been able to put more effort into the reverse Trike - now officially dubbed "RAM R/T Scorpio".
Still look forward to seeing some of you there.
TJ

Will you bring the TR1 where ever it's at?
We have done a few shows in the southeast, and found that peolple quite like to look at the work in progress.

Hi Titan Perf.

maybe some pix - but it's not anywhere near fully mocked up yet - I'd just embaress myself ! :-[

We WILL be booking for the April Classic Show at Stafford - I've already sent for the booking forms - AND the TR1 [ "Vindicator" ] will be there and finished. ;)

I'm gutted as the Cafe Racer AND the Reverse Trike were both my ideas, but my pal [ whose facilities I'm using ] wants to concentrate on the Trike. Can't blame him as all this work [ since Feb. ] has to be paid for eventually !

On the plus side the Trike [ RAM R/T Scorpio ] is away having the body panels sculpted / moulded for the next 7 days, so I'll take the opportunity to get the odds and sods back on track - wheel build, tank overlay completed etc.

Body is looking really cool - this one is the Hooligan version - minimalistic and evil. The next one will be the sensible Tourer !!

works in progress's are good lets people see the build threads "in the flesh"
here's one we had on the stand at Uttoxeter VJMC show in july

well if you fancy reading a 29 page build thread,
http://oldskoolperformance.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=64
the guy (mark) is no machinist, but fancied building a tony foals inspired design out of his 750 turbo, so brought a lathe and milling machine and some billets of alloy and set about learning. the pictures really don't do it justice, I was lucky enough to persuide him to load it in a van and put it on our stand at uttoxeter vjmc show. it is stunning in the flesh, and got a few people to stop and chat.

only a week to go till stafford show 8) is it a DTT stand you are having at the show? If so, I'll come and find you to say hi. may even have my pockets full of free stickers (blatent plug alert)

Hi guys,

sorry to say [ gutted ] that due to circumstances completely beyond our control, the Trike will not be completed in time to make a launch at the show. Explanation over on the Scorpio...... thread. Gutted.

However, we are making plans for the April version of the show - guess it might make sense to have a DTT presence represented on the stand. I'll speak with the forum management about that.

might try and do stafford next year with my show stand, not sure yet. I think I'll get the classic bike show at NEC in nov out the way first before thinking about next year.
