Finally got around to uploading some photos. Just selected a handful of shots from the last month or so. The bike will be done in a semi classic scrambler style. Not chopping anything or making anything too cafe like. The idea is a bike i'll be able to ride on road as well as take camping and take off road here in Oregon. Everything is going smoothly. Thankfully i have some friends in the area that have done far more of these projects than me.
The bike is being inspired by the trucks my dad and I used to restore. About 2 months ago we found out that he has cancer and I wanted a project to work on so I could talk to him about anything besides chemo. So I decided to pick up this bike and have 69-72 chevy truck be the inspiration. So with that said the tank will be ochre (think golden rod if you're not familiar) with white and black accents. The engine will have very subtle orange engine paint like all the trucks we built had. I'm going to do the carb bowls and maybe 1-2 other parts. Nothing too big as i think it would look really gaudy. Tires will be nice and big and knobby. Then the seat will be done in the same style as the old chevy seat. So leather sides with a wool top.
All parts are now ordered and it's about to go to paint so i'll update more and hopefully i'll post a gallery of all my photos ( i have about 100 so far)
