'75 Honda CB400f
Sorry for the bad pic, but I wanted to start a separate thread with my progress thus far. This is my first motorcycle, and is actually my first working motorized vehicle I've owned for the last couple of years. I've been commuting by bicycle, but that's a different thread entirely. I figured it was only natural that I gravitated towards another two-wheeled mode of transportation.
I was encouraged to buy an old CB by a few mechanic friends who said they'd help me out. Got it from eBay for a good price, and was actually in a lot better shape than the previous owner lead me to believe. The only shortcoming was that he thought it'd be awesome to rattle the entire engine (I'm assuming to hide all the rust, etc) a bad shade of silver as well as all the screws/bolts red. There was also a gas and oil leak. Gas leak was fixed by changing out the fuel hose. Still diagnosing the oil leak, we think it's a bad valve gasket, but haven't had the time to check it out.
Been sneaking around for a few days and have already learned a lot. I'll put it to good use soon.
