Mike- I will be taking it to my tire to the local shop. They are pretty good about being delicate with painted wheels. I tried mounting that Kenda on the other wheel on Saturday ......after 2 hours I gave up. So it's getting mounted at the shop as well.........
Big Rich said:Oh boy, believe me - I tried everything. The tire sat in front of a torpedo heater for about 3 hours (at a safe distance) and I had the whole bead slathered in straight dish soap. Still felt like I was putting a 17" tire on an 18" wheel. At one point I literally checked to make sure it wasn't a 17" tire........ The front tire is a 100/90 and went on easily. I think it might be because the rear is a 110/80.
Luckily, my local shop doesn't charge extra for pita mounts.
