Swapping cams

I'm at wits end with my CB125s. It's a two piece head model from 1976 tot 1979. It has a camshaft number of 14101383000. I've called CMSNL, they don't have a cam for this model in stock.

They offered me to order part number 14101384000, which is a camshaft for the one piece head model. Won't this affect performance? I imagine the Cam having a different shape, even lightly, which could affect valve lift negatively.

What do you think of their statement? Anyone who swapped a two piece head cam for a one piece?

Thanks

The earlier cam may well have 'better' performance, less regulations when they were made.
You could probably fit an XR cam if you want better performance, XR185/200 is based on the 125 ( XR's used 125 six speed transmission)
Most of the single cyl 100~200 Honda's use almost identical parts (I've fitted CG125 gears into XL185 when I broke mine)
