swing are removal, 69 cb 450

OK I got my 1969 CB450 all taken down! But I am having one problem. How the heck do you get the swing arm off? I got the Nut off, the bolt is turning freely, But I have no idea of how to get the bolt to slide out? I don't want to force it and there has to be something on the right side with the bolt head? what is the nipple looking thing on thee right side of the bolt? Sorry I dint have a manual yet so and I have never seen anything like this before?

tap it out from the other side with the nut removed. the nipple is a grease nipple. axle should slide out and then just kinda pull back on the swingarm.

serious, that is all? I have hit it with an 4lb hammer and a wood block, Didn't move at all?
so maybe some heat and a 8lb hammer??

Maybe try using a punch or drift that way you can really concentrate the blow on the swingarm bolt. Just don't go too crazy ;D

OK, It is all loose, I can turn it and all but it just wont come out! are there any bearings that are pressed in that I should look out for? thankx again!

Try putting a 3/8" air ratchet on the bolt while using something to push it out from the other side

if i remember correctly it came out easier by twisting it out (as if too loosen it) then just a straight pull. the bushings arent threaded, but the threads help push it out for whatever reason. So pull on it while twisting it counter clockwise.

no bearings. just metal bushing inside it.

+1 to Rocan. And I just assume everybody has a compressor and air tools - sorry! With the proper fittings and bits, you can use an electric drill/driver too.
