A long day.
Tried something new as per Kanticoy.
To help ensure no jacked up rings.
I installed the pistons into the jugs first, then installed the pins and lock rings into the rods.
It was a tight working space but it went pretty well, once I got my damned bifocals adjusted to see. ;D

Thanks so much fellas.
An early morning.
I thought about reinstalling the factory blades as they have little wear.
But I went w fresh. Shelving the old, in case the spare motor needs em.
A quick clean down and coat w Marbles motors. Hit that w heat gun then back into the frame to finish tomorrow.
Nothing else happening today, I ran to town early and picked up a new garage heater, the old one dont have much life left in her.
Cleaning up garage now, a couple buddies bringing a stuck lawnmower over this afternoon. :

Got started early. Time to install cam...NOPE.
Something has changed, because the there was no way the chain would fit on sprocket and tensioner was tight.
Ugh. Looking back at pics I discovered I had installed the tensioner adjuster a 1/4 turn wrong. :
At some point it was able slide past the pinch bolt, putting tension on the blade.
So back out and apart it comes.
That notch on adjuster should face out.
Hondabond cleaned off easily w MEK and fresh reapplied, then coffee and a video, giving plenty of dry time.
Now were back in action.
Cam and oil pipes installed, everything got Zpaste and dumped some oil down the cam chain to coat the tensioner blades.
