The newest addition... 77 RD400. Definitly a project...

Well its "home" alright. She is real rough. The motor is a fancy paperweight at this point. The frame and chassis are rusty, to say the least. Its all fixable though. Just going to take a good while, and probobly a somewhat disgusting amount of money (please dont tell my wife ;)). Oh well. Always wanted a big ol two stroke, and theres not many out there better than the rd400.

That is a compression release valve so it kick starts ez er there very rare just having that picture on the internet is enuff, there is most likly collectors all over the east coast calling there accountants while they drive twards your house
 
Looks pretty nasty. Glad to see another rd. I am new here was beginning to think that there weren't any others messing with rd400s. Gl with the build
 
I know Brad. Within minutes of posting it, my Email has been blowing up with vintage road racers trying to buy this rare piece of motorcycle history. Hahaha

You're gonna have to beat the shit out of that engine case to seperate it. So easy to clean it out and freshen it up though. Please get this crank outta my garage too. It's waiting for you.
 
Yup. Always have to see if a new project can be flipped before I start spending money. Never happens, but I have to see whats out there Beard-O.
