Thinking of doing a diamond plate seat? opinions?

Ive got a little cafe im building and im thinking of doing just a plain aluminum diamond plate seat pan. Has anyone ever done it or have reservations about it? I know itll be uncomfortable but i dont think itll be too bad. Ive been riding on just sheet metal for a few days while i try to think of something and its really not that bad. Im thinking a solo pan with a short seating area with a lip on the back to keep me from really sliding and some curving over the frame rails to smooth it out.
Anyone have some ideas?

I've seen one on a bobber before. It was concave, but definitely diamond plate.

I would worry about the black tarnish that forms on the aluminum. Could cause black ass.

I used it on a solo start for a build. I love it. Doesnt hurt like you would think.

Diamond plate is for tool boxes and truck beds. Not motorcycles, unless youre a hillbilly. Than go for it.
