Hey guys, i picked up a 76 cb360 for basically nothing a while back. i finally have some time for the thing but I wanted to make sure before I got to invested that I would be able to get a title. The bike has been sitting for a LONG time, and the guy i got it from had NO paperwork. We did a bill of sale but I called AAA to see what I needed to do and she said there is no way to get a new title for the bike. Any one out there have any info they could share. I'm in California.

Also here are a few pics of my bike

I just bought a 1975 cb360t and it doesn't have a title but just call up dmv and it shouldn't be too bad working it out. The guy who sold it to me said his buddy would do it for me for $100. Im gonna research it a little more before I go forking over the cash. Not that I don't trust him, cuz I do, its just I have always been able to find things cheaper doing it myself.

what is the reason they gave for not being able to do it? I live in cali, a friend of mine and I titled a cb750 and virago that were "out of the system" both with just bills of sale with the vin written on it.

AAA said it was impossible without a title or finding the original owner. Both of which are not gonna happen. But I called the DMV and it sounds like it will work out. I will post the process when I'm done to make it easier. Thanks guys.

Let me know how you do it and how much when you are done. Im curious to know once I am ready to register mine.
