Im a noob and dont know how to set timing on my cb 350 , i have the gauge .006:.008 and need to find Top dead Center

You just line the FT up with the.....wait, is it the LT? No, you line up the T with the.....wait, is it in Japanese? What is the japanese word for top? Hell, I don't know.

hummmm.... Well now that im looking at it, it kinda looks Like Left LT| left LF| and just T| F|, being the right. But whats left and what right.

Are you timing the advance or adjusting valve clearance?

At LT but it's hard to hold the crank in that position while adjusting valve clearance. Another hand would make it easier if you're not used to it. Also, at LT or left piston TDC, both rockers should be loose and can be wiggled around with your fingers. If not, give the crank another 360º turn. Same goes for the right piston.

I just read in the Shop Manual that the intake side should be at .005mm and the exhaust at .010mm, Do i have the wrong tool? i have a .006-.008...

My manual says .05 mm/.002" gap for intake valves and .1mm/.003" for exhaust valves.

well danm i bought the wrong one, ive gotta head to the auto parts store tomorrow and get the right size. what does the manual say for carb float hight, I have 20mm....

20mm for 68-69 years, 26mm for all years after.

so i set the timing in hopes to fix a low compression problem on the left side..... 75psi... after setting the timing its still 75psi, and I cant take the right side because I think its stripped.... Ugggg im soo pissed. anyone wana buy a honda lol
