Hi there.
I'm a Scot living in S.Wales, I've been lurking in the background here for a while, getting lots of inspiration for dozens of project bikes, so i thought it I ought to sign up.
No bike at the present but a teenage past of cafe racers, a Yamaha fsie 50cc, a Yamaha RD200 which I monoshocked and a rubber framed Suzuki GT 500 twin which was an ex production racer. Along with Honda C90, Gilera 50, Don Schmitt Zundap 125,
Kawasaki KH125, XT500, Z650. Nothing for 25 years though so it must be a mid life crisis!
I'm looking out for something interesting to Cafe. Either something Small Honda XL185/XR200 or 250 Spanish Trials bike, or maybe a 500 tourer, like BMW flat twin, Honda transverse V twin or Yamaha longitudinal V twin - some thing cheap to buy due to ugly/unfashionable body work.
I'd like to be able to have just a daylight MOT ( a compliance certificate that can require as little as a horn, speedo, number plate and rear reflector/brake light. So all in all pretty Zen. The less is the more. Pre '86 makes it easier here due to some law changes after that year but it can be got around.
Cheers.
