Unique tank design

No offense, but I would expect the welds to look a whole lot better than that for $800. Or, grind everything smooth on the outside of the tank.

None taken. The fit up is insanely challenging with multiple curved surfaces meeting at a welded joint. I considered grinding but I prefer the look of exposed welds.

Stainless is a pain in the ass. Been welding on it most of the day today. By far my least favorite.

Have the tanks been pressure tested?

Tank is cool, does look like I welded it ::)

Clean clean almost like al and good gas flow with no draft clean before ever running a second pass on anything, just a hit with an emery sponge can be the diff between the dab laying up or flowing in. I still can't make those welds like Akropovic welders can >:( I'm beginning to wonder if it's the cheap inverter :o

I imagine the robots welding those cans have something to do with it.

I imagine so, still alot of hand work on collectors and shit robo setup cant really do.

This is the robo you'll likely see more than a 2 million dollar machine in the sports exhaust world.

I am selling it but also just looking for opinions. It's a different design that allows the use of stainless steel and all the benefits. I'm hoping to sell more but starting with a few. Would you run it on your bike?

I much prefer curved surfaces/edges so no, I wouldn't run it.

I don't see what the advantage of stainless is over aluminum... and the disadvantage seems to be you can't form it into nice curvy shapes?
