Hey there,
need a little help. After rebuilding upper part of the engine (first time for me), a problem appeared when trying to adjust the valves. When engine is turned to LT position on alternator, both valves of the left cylinder should be closed. Unfortunately, exhaust valve is opened and sometimes even touching pistons (thanks for crazypj for explaining that). Even when I unscrewed adjustment screw all out, but it still is open, because it's pushed by rocker arm. Similar things with other valves.
I clearly messed up something in assembly. The only thing I can think of is wrong camshaft postion. But I checked that three times and marks on the sprocket are horizontal when alternator rotor is in LT position (pictures from manual below). Don't know where to go from here.
Maybe anyone has any ideas where I did a mistake in assembly?
Thank you for any thought!
P.S. It's my first engine work, so a problem may be kind a self-evident (not for me naturally :/).
