Hey guys. Been riding an 03 R6 (first bike) until I had back surgery last year when I had to street fighter it out to make it more comfortable to ride. I basically stripped it down, added risers and dirty bars, headlights and such. Having graduated from MMI in Orlando a few years ago, I love tooling on bikes. I've always been interested in the cafe racer bikes and am ready to give one a whirl (even though I don't know how good it will be for my back). I'm looking at an xs650 (being the Yamaha fan that I am) or a cb750... Leaning towards the Yamaha though. So I ran across this site and feel confident that I can find most anything I need here. Great site!

Welcome to the site. It's awesome that you went to MMI. You definitely have an advantage over a lot of people here, myself included. It may be you that gets the questions.

Good luck on finding your bike, and I hope it's not too tough on your back. Just remember, a cafe isn't required to have clubmans or clip-ons. I love euro superbike bars on a lot of bikes, and although it's not really a cafe, I'm running them on my GS1100. A more agressive riding position, but not so much so that you're laying on the tank.
