VM 28's (pair) - for stock honda CL 350 carbs

Been Around the Block
Looking to trade a pair of VM 28's for a set of Honda CL 350 carbs.

Few things to note:

1. These were from a 2 stroke and (I'll post pics) a bit later.

2. Bought them as "Sonic Cleaned" but not sure if they were actually, well... sonic cleaned. I don't know enough about the process to tell the difference.

3. The exterior (carb body) was painted, not a horrible job, but slightly cheesy.

4. On one of the carbs, the threads for the pilot jet are non existent. I'm not sure if there is anything you could do to fix or jury-rig a pilot jet in here. The other carb is good. The solution might be a new carb body for the one missing threads.

5. I grossly overpaid for these and decided that I didn't want to fuss with jetting mikuni's

Hey man... Sorry I didnt reply to your email. Been having some difficulty getting online lately. My carbs will be available in about 10 days if youre still interested.

here's a pic of the jets and such...

VonYinzer,

Can you let me know what else I need to pick up for these? I had VM 32's originally and have the throttle cables from them still on the bike.

Thanks again - just want to have everything ready when they show up. Figure it be a good time gather up any bits I need to go with these stock carbs.

All you'll need is a stock throttle cable and some float bowl gaskets (you can cut your own from a sheet of material that you can buy at Auto Zone for $3). I may have one (cable) in the garage that I can toss in the box with the carbs. Ill check when I get down there monday. Other than that, they should be plug and play.
