The name's Mike, I'm a musician and photographer living in Santa Barbara and I'm starting to get my hands dirty hoping to build my first bike soon. Buddy of mine told me about this site, so far I'm beyond impressed at the knowledge and passion of the members. Glad to have registered.

Hoping soon I can get up and just go!

Lots of good people on here and those that are douchery are just like that so ignore them ;) . Don't think you'll find a closer knit of international people anywhere here.

Now get that bike posted on here somewhere.
 
I love the classic forum douchery. Get's the laughing factory going haha. You have no idea of what an internet asshole is until you've been to a vintage guitar forum. Rich dudes who give no f***s about anyone. Good times screwing with dudes like that haha.

I was hoping to score on a CL 175 today, but it's got some problems with it so I'm just gonna save on something running for now. The bike was stuck in gear and had some other things with it, I didn't honestly feel like rebuilding a tranny on my first build haha.

So as of today, I'm still lookin'
 
Good on ya for waiting. I've been guilty of seeing something shiny and buying it without checking everything over first.

I'm gonna have to say as of yesterday I'm guilty as well! I went and checked it out again, and just said "fuggit" and went for it. It'll take some work, but it'll be a fun project and good learning experience
