Well, here's me, and here's my project bike.

Okay well I'll save the life story and skip to my project bike. At the ripe old age of 30 :P I'm just now learning to ride, and my wife's brother had a CL350 that he was more than happy to donate to the cause. Since I'm new to bikes he's been helping me out, honestly he's just as excited to see the bike back on the road as I am. It ran for all of five minutes when we dug it out of the storage shed behind his house and as soon as its tires touched my garage floor we were elbows deep in a near total tear-down. We're about a month into the project and it's pretty close to being roadworthy. The engine has been rebuilt, the frame has been painted, chrome shined up as much as possible, new tires mounted, and it's down to setting the engine back in the frame, mounting the tank, and tuning. Now I must confess, I'm not satisfied with just getting it running again. The direction I'm headed isn't a cafe, nor is it a tracker, or a bobber, though it's definitely race-inspired.

That's pretty much where it is at the moment. For the time being I'm going to use the stock tank, but I'm going to be using a CB77 tank because I like the shape and I want to keep the overall look of a classic Honda. The seat will need modified to clear the tank, but it will need new vinyl before too long so I'll do that when the time comes. I've also got some fabrication to do for the exhaust. At some point the stock mufflers were cut off and replaced with some shitty JC Whitney glasspacks that are loud as hell and quite obnoxious. I'm going to build a 2-into-1 that's very similar to the Arrow exhaust for the Triumph Scrambler, though that might be a winter project. I can live with the loudness for now, and there's only a few good months of riding time left before the cold sets in anyway. Oh, and I've also got suspension upgrades and a custom bash plate in the works as well. This will be no show bike, I plan to flog the shit out of this bike, and it's going to get dirty ;D

I don't know what you'd call the bike I'm building, really. It's not a cafe, nor a bobber or chopper, and it's not really a flat tracker either. I guess I'll let you guys put a lable on it if you must. But no matter what you want to call it, here's my inspiration!

And since the title starts off with "Well, here's me...", well, here's me, doing what I do best:
