What is this?

It's on my 1974 GT550 it looks like it may be some kind of switch. It was just tucked away. any help would be great. Thanx in advance.

Yea but it seems to have the OG switch and key still on the cluster.

It's definitely an ignition switch. Looks just like the one I pulled out of instrument cluster on my XS. But, what fuction does it serve now on your bike?

I don't know. This bike is a project. The dial inside the "switch" just spins, so I have no idea what it does, if anything. thanx
