What kind of boots do you wear- daily, for riding?

I am currently wearing red 10-eye Docs. I am getting the brown Docs from their "Rugged" collection once I have the money :-)

They are super comfy at work too though, 9 hours a day of retail!

dude i'll buy those old redwings from you.. no really. what size/model? ... yes i am a hipster, professional... no really.

No way! I just quit wearing them to ride in mostly because my feet got wet if it was even thinking about raining- still on the rack in the work room to wear when working in the garage and such. Redwings are like your adult kids, as much as you want to throw them out, you just can't!

For reference, it's these in a 10.5. Wore them for almost 3 years on the plant floor & riding (machining/stamping) and at home for 2+ years riding:

We've run specials on a couple popular Tour Master boot styles recently and have had a great response. And here is another great value... the Latigo line of sport/race boots from Cortech. For those of you who don't know Cortech, it is the sister brand to Tour Master (same company, same distributor). The Cortech line is more sport and racing oriented where Tour Master makes products aimed more at street and touring riders.

I really like the Latigo line of race boots. They are well made and very affordable. The styling and features of the boot are certainly race-inspired, but anybody who owns a sport bike will like these boots.

The "Air" version features perforated material that lets air flow through, which you will like for warm weather riding. The Latigo boots offer all the basic features you'll need on the track. The boot has solid protectors in the ankle and shin areas (the shin guard is especially sturdy feeling). And there are also stiffeners incorporated into the toe shift area and heel cup. The boots have a definite forward lean to them that those riding race/sport bikes need for easy shifting. And the soles are low profile for the same reason. The Latigo Air is available in White/Black (shown above) or all Black.

The Latigo Waterproof boot includes Cortech's HiPora waterproof breathable membrane to keep out water. Choose this one for wet weather use and all but hot weather use. Sport street riders will appreciate the waterproof liner if they find themselves in wet weather occasionally.

We've had good customer feedback on both versions. Customers have commented that the boots were more comfortable than they expected (for a race boot), and they've also talked about how well the waterproof version has worked for them in the rain.

Robert's review on the Latigo Waterproof boots: I've had the chance to put a few hundred miles on my Cortech Latigo WP race boots, and I am thoroughly impressed! They are more comfortable than I had imagined they would be. I have worn them in the rain - and even a heavy downpour - and my feet stayed completely dry! They include some nice protective features as well. These are a great boot for an awesome price! As always, Motorcycle Gear delivered! (read more)

Picked up a pair of these in 2008 down in Tellico Plains at Tellico Motorcycle Outfitters www.tellicomoto.com - first and foremost, Michael, the owner, is a fantastic guy and it's a family business. I was wearing some crap old leaky Joe Rocket boots I bought used years earlier, and decided I needed new boots for the remaining 6 days of riding ahead.

Found the shop online as one of the only local shops near the Cherohala Skyway (he's right at the one end of it). I left my old boots up on a shelf in his shop and my buddy and I each bought a pair of these.

They're Gore-tex lined, full mesh construction and tough as nails. I've crashed in them and would have broken my left ankle in shoes or lesser boots (i.e. any boot without ankle armor and the right structure to keep your foot from flopping around and snapping like a twig).

4 years later and they're the only boots I ride in on a regular basis. When I ride my wife's TU250X around the block, I might toss on my Blundstones or even my Converse, but that's for 5 minute runs up to the 7-11.

Nice boot at a great price, wish the shin guard wasn't so pronounced though, would make it hard to get jeans over it.

I wear an Xelement brand of boot. They are very comfortable and easily taken on and off with rear velcro straps.

I wear these boots, daily. Mike, the shin guard isn't hard to get jeans over at all. Very comfortable/cool boot, and protects my ankle nicely from the scorching engine/frame heat of my CBR.

Yeah, for the price, you can't beat them. I'll wear them around for hours if I'm on and off the bike...they're very comfortable to walk around in.

I never put much thought into the laces thing but I do agree it could be an issue.

I wear Converse Tactical boots at work and they are super comfy so wear them on the bike as well.

Doc martens samuels i think? They are docs, i could be wrong on the model tho. They are tough! Basically ww2 paratroopers with a doc marten sole.

I wear a pair of Belleville steel toe "jungle" boots. I would really like to get proper riding boots though, like some Gaerne G flows or something.
