What tanks will fit on an '82 CB650

I just bought a 1982 CB650 Cafe Project Bike. It's had a good bit of work done to it already. The tank that came with it is from a late 60's Kawi Avenger. If I keep the tank, I just need to drill new mount holes, etc., and seal it. The petcock has already been moved to the correct placement. I was wondering, though, if I don't want to use the Avenger tank, what options I had on an '82. I like the look of the '79 CB650 tanks, and there are a couple for sale on Ebay. Are the front mounting holes the same for both tanks? Is it as simple as just redrilling the front holes, and finding a way to mount the back? Any help would be appreciated.

I think all the Honda CB's are similar for mounting the tank i'm pretty sure I read it on here like yesterday so check the threads because everyone is asking the same question

Can anyone confirm this? I have a rust slowly leaking cb650 and wanted to simply swap it out. I thought the cb750 tanks were slightly larger?

So the question I ask is that if its true that all CB tanks will fit other cbs?

There's a decent variation between models, and even submodels in some cases (F, K, C). Front mounts will line up most likely, rear mount will be where the issue is.

Here is a 750 (I think 77-78) tank I have for my 81' 650. The rear mount tab lines of perfectly with the hole on the frame luckily, however there is no access from the top.
