Let's see...I'm a new guy from OK. I've been riding for a while, sport bikes and cruisers, but my pops just passed his Norton off to me. He paid someone to clean it up, and got upset when he got it back and it ran for less than a mile. After going through it I found it needs some work (tank's leaking and there's a clutch issue), but it's really pretty clean. I've always been a fan of bobbers, but this cafe racer thing is growing on me.

How's it go? This thread would be worthless without pics, and we don't want it to be worthless!

Beautiful bike man! Youre a lucky guy. The old Nortons are getting more and more expencive nowadays.

Welcome to DTT by the way. Looking forward to seeing what you do with her.

Sexy! Very cool bike, welcome to DTT! There is an ocean of knowledge here between the members and existing posts. No questions are stupid and you'll be amazed how many people will try help and how many will find the info when they don't know it. L (Like Mr. Yinzer)

Thanks for the welcome guys! I've been lurking for a little while, and this place is awesome. Seems like a good group you have here.

I'll be pulling the tank this weekend, and I'm hoping that I can salvage the paint. Beyond getting it running right I have some minor ideas, but I just want to get the rubber hot so they'll wait.

Theres a pretty strong aftermarket for these old Nortons... Head to Barnes and Nobel and buy a few Brit cafe and classic bike mags. (Classsic Bike is a favorite of mine). Theres a TON more info on dress and hop up bits in there than you'll find state side.
