Whats the best way to test the vaccum line on a petcock??

I now believe part of my rich #3 cylinder ( thevaccum line on my VM26SS leads to the #3 carb) may be due to the vaccum line sucking gas, and my petcock being faulty. Other than sucking on the vaccum line and possibly catching a mouthfull of gas, anyone have a better way to test it?

go to drugstore and tell them you'd like a syringe for child's medicine/teeh. it has a curved plastic tapered end whihc can attach to the vacuum line, draw it back and clip it open, turn on gas or blow thru it and way you go.

Thanks brian! I did just that...unfortunately or fortunately depending on how you look at it, my petcock is good. Back to square one on that then...Thanks again Brian!
