Wheels from a 79-80 Suzuki GS550

Hello, new to this forum but have already acquired a new project for myself and my son to work on, 1970 CB 175. So we need room. The front wheel says"Suzuki 19X1.85 Made in Japan" on it and the rear says"18X2.15 Made in Japan" The guy I got them from said they would fit my GT550 but I never tried. Best offer or trade for CB 175 parts. Thanks

Hi gman,

I wonder if those wheels would fit an '83 GS450E? They LOOK similar... Do you still have those wheels? Where are you located? I have a friend who has parts of an '83 GS450, and the wheels are missing. I seem to remember that the GS450 uses 18" wheels front and back, but I don't think that would be a real issue; he could swap the front fender...

Let me know if you still have those wheels, and the zip / postal code of where you'd be shipping them from. If my friend wants the wheels, I'll send him the link to this thread... He doesn't have any CB175 parts...

Thanks for your time, gman; have you posted a thread about your CB175 project yet?

Hey Kneedragger, still have the wheels but have no idea what they will fit. I am located almost right downtown Toronto. Have not started on the CB175 project as yet. Still clearing up a few other things and trying to make some space(its amazing how motorcycle parts seem to multiply when you are not paying attention) before I start on the CB175. 8)

Hey guys, thanks for the replies. I contacted the GS450 owner, and he told me that he sold his Suzuki bits to someone who replied to an ad he posted on Craigslist, so he no longer needs those wheels...

Please keep us posted on your progress with that CB175, gman; I can't wait to see some photos. I found these photos in an ad on eBay, and I'm wondering if this is what you're shooting for:

Red:

The red one looks very nice (I THINK that is a CB350), but the blue one (a CB160?) knocks me out! That paint scheme is STUNNING!

Good luck with your projects... -- kd
